CLOSE CALL

So our group was able to get some money back from their wrong ticket fiasco and we got the tickets re-routed to Lyon for the day! Because my fantastic parents sent me my Eurail Pass I don’t even have to get a ticket, I just have to hop on a bus or train (my choice) and show the conductor my pass! I'm kinda nervous about using my pass because I have heard that he people are super stingy when it comes to using your pass. But this will be good practice in using it.

Oh, and today I almost got a fine on the public buses for getting on through the wrong door. Some of the buses allow you to get on through one of the back doors…but apparently not this bus. As the driver spoke sternly to me in French (and as I understood what he said) I simply pretended not to understand. Jake came to my rescue and told the guy that I didn’t know what was going on and that I had gotten confused about which buses could be boarded from the back doors. He let me off with a warning…phew! Wont make that mistake again! Totally not worth the 48 € fine!
